Volunteer with Straysafe Cat Rescue and Make a Difference!

Do you love cats? Want to help rescue, care for, and find loving homes for stray and abandoned kitties in our community? Straysafe is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team! Straysafe is based in Sale, South Manchester.

We welcome volunteers aged 14 and over, including students completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award. If you’re under 18, your first visit must be with a parent or guardian. As we work with live animals, all volunteers must follow our safety guidelines and shelter rules.

We need helping hands for:
🐱 Feeding and caring for rescued cats
🏡 Fostering kittens and special-needs cats
🏡 Confident home checkers (training will be available)
🚗 Transporting cats to vet appointments
📢 Fundraising, social media, and community outreach
🛠 Shelter maintenance and cleaning, including:

Emptying and washing litter trays
Sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces and walls
Changing bedding and washing cat blankets
Organizing and cleaning the shelter, shed, and storage areas
Cleaning crates and rooms
Taking waste and unwanted items to the tip

Even a few hours a week/month can make a huge impact! No experience needed—just a big heart and a love for cats. ❤
